Smartly was created because Zambian businesses deserve an accounting platform that understands local tax law, local payment methods, and local business realities — not a generic tool built for overseas markets.
How it started
Zambian businesses have long had to choose between generic international accounting software — expensive, overcomplicated, and ignorant of the ZRA's requirements — or manual spreadsheets that don't scale.
Smartly Accounting was built to close that gap. From the ground up, we designed a platform that speaks the language of Zambian finance: Zambian Kwacha as the default currency, direct ZRA Smart Invoice integration, local payment methods like MTN Mobile Money and Airtel Money, and fiscal periods aligned to how businesses here actually operate.
Today, Smartly is trusted by hundreds of businesses across Lusaka, the Copperbelt, and beyond — from sole traders to professional services firms, logistics companies, and retail groups.
